The Boiling Frog Syndrome

are you the frog?

If you throw a frog into a pot of boiling water, it'll jump out immediately.

But if you put it in when the water is cold and gradually turn up the heat, it will stay there unaware of the gradual change, only reacting once it is too late and ends up being boiled alive. Crazy, right?

Well, this tale isn't just about frogs; Like the frog, we often ignore the subtle changes in our lives until it's too late.

These shifts happen incrementally, whether it's gaining weight, staying in a toxic relationship, professional stagnation or wasting hours on social media.

We forget that daily habits define our lives. Small actions shape our destiny, and how we do the small things determines how we do everything.

Justifying and normalising our bad habits is like turning up the water temperature slightly. You say one drink won't hurt, missing your workout won’t hurt, but the problem is that each small compromise makes the next one easier.

However, you can break this downward spiral by building awareness, recognising the slow boil and establishing clear boundaries to remove toxic influences or temptations.

Change your surroundings. Reinforce positive habits and retake control over your life.

What small habits are you changing? Before it’s too late.
