Hey All,
Just checking in!
I’ve been sending you emails so I thought to send you a more personal one in the effort knowing why I do this work.
I’m an educator, researcher, and consultant who’s spent over a decade helping people learn how to learn. I’ve taught in Canadian universities for 10 years and spent a couple more teaching overseas, which means I bring a mix of global perspective and real-world experience into every learning space I work in.
My work lives at the intersection of communication, education, and culture. Whether I’m teaching a course in Black Studies or coaching someone through an academic transition, I focus on how people connect—across differences, through language, and in the stories we tell. I’m certified with TESL Canada and TESL Ontario, and I’ve supported learners from all over the world in learning English, adapting to new environments, and building confidence.
A lot of what I do is about helping people make sense of who they are and where they’re going. I teach with a mix of critical theory, storytelling, and digital tools to explore big ideas like identity, migration, and belonging—especially through intersectional and Afrocentric lenses.
Beyond the classroom, I design learning experiences for organizations—workshops, training sessions, strategy days—focused on improving how individuals and teams learn and perform. I love translating deep academic ideas into real-world action. That’s what the Leverage Newsletter is all about too: giving people useful tools to think better, work smarter, and live intentionally.
I also bring tech into the mix—everything from Notion, Microsoft 365, and WordPress to online learning platforms—so that the solutions I offer actually work in the spaces people are navigating right now.
At the end of the day, I care about learning that sticks, communication that connects, and growth that matters. If you're building something—or trying to—I'd love to support it.
Let’s connect and make something meaningful happen.
